 There are many opportunities for work on the Island of Curacao, however patience is the key as there are a few hurdles will need to get over before finding the perfect jobs in Curacao. Residency permits must be applied for and granted before beginning to live permanently on the island. To find employment, it is a rule that the prospective employer would need to prove that they have exhausted every opportunity to employ a local for the position. Once this has been completed then the work permit can be applied for and if granted then the position can be filled by a foreign national for their Curacao Job. |

 The education of a Curacao school is similar to that of the Dutch system, although there are always ongoing discussions to change due to language issues. Primary education lasts 8 years, and the children will start at 4 years of age. Education is compulsory for children between the ages of 5 and 16, in addition to the Dutch schools on the island there are also private American schools for children to attend. There is one hospital on the island of Curacao comparable to a mid range hospital in the USA. Here they provide minor and major surgeries and also have a decompression chamber.

 Travel to Curacao is simple as the island has one airport, Hato, serving different airlines offering non stop flights with connections around the world. Cruise liners dock on the island of Curacao at either of the two main docking ports on the island as both linked to the shopping and business areas. When getting around the island, Curacao rental cars are popular as motorbikes and bikes are popular and fun as well. Public transport is limited to buses and limoís only, although there are several tours available taking in the sights of the beach, parks and shopping areas. |
