Things to do on the Island of Curacao

The island of Curacao is a very popular holiday island for families and couples alike, there is always something for everyone to do with so many activities and places to enjoy. With Curacao tourism such a large industry, travelers and residents are catered for perfectly. Willemstad has great attractions and is one of the most historic parts of the island. You can visit the historic buildings, dine in the beautiful restaurants, shop in the great shopping district or just simply kick back and enjoy a cold drink in a bar taking in the beautiful views of Curacao beach.

Curacao Beaches

Cas Abou Beach is located along the western coastline of Curacao and is a very pretty and sandy beach with clear turquoise waters and waving palm trees. It has been named as one of the most well kept beaches on the island and offers something for all the family to enjoy, whether you prefer to curl up on the sand under a palm tree with a good book or take part in the many outdoor activities.

Klein Curacao is another beach which can only be accessed by taking the mermaid boat trip as it is a small remote uninhabited island away from all the busy hustle and bustle of the main island. It is a flat windswept white sandy beach with clear waters and colorful reef with beautiful sea life.


Curacao Diving - The island of Curacao offer some of the best diving, for the experienced diver there is a tremendous amount to be seen and even those not so experienced can view some of the most breathtaking coral reefs and marine life living underneath the crystal clear waters on Curacao. The dive sites on the island include – Playa Kalki which is also known as Alice in Wonderland, Mushroom Forest and the Cave.



Curacao Dining - On Curacao there are many fine restaurants which will serve the finest haute cuisine. Many of the world's top chef's reside here creating their own recipes using the island different meats. Curacao offers a world of restaurants from Japanese to Chinese and Italian to its own style serving Curacao's well known ribs and chips. You will find as well many other styles of dishes such as include goose liver specials, asparagus or lobsters, all served in sublime ways.

Curacao Bike Rentals and Tours - Discover Curacao and exercise at the same time! Take a bike tour and enjoy Curacao’s real countryside and all of its beautiful scenery. If you take a tour you will find most end at one of the Curacao beaches. As biking is common on the island, you are able to hire any shape and size bike to fit you.

Accommodation: The apartments are divided over two buildings. The 1-2 person apartments consist of: • A sleeping section with 2 single beds or 1 twin bed. • A fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, cooking facilities and coffee maker. • An eating section including a table and four chairs • A sitting section with a couch, 2 chairs, center table and TV, and double opening doors that lead to a balcony which give a nice view to a part of the city. • A spacious bathroom with hot and cold water. • Air conditioning. The 3-4 person apartments are exactly the same as the above mentioned with the exception of a second floor reachable by an open stairs.
