Curacao Beaches - Curacao has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, there are 38 to choose from. Playa Kalki in the North of the Island is a beautiful sandy beach with limestone cliffs and is classed as one of the most attractive diving and snorkeling sites on the island. Abao Beach offers a white sand beach, crystal clear waters, palm trees and parasols. The beach is ideal for swimmers, and its coral reef is a paradise for divers and snorkelers. A raft for sunbathing and playing is moored off the beach. There is a bar, restaurant, showers, toilets, massage and dive center. Kontiki Beach offers plenty of water sports with Curacao diving tuition available. There is a great beach bar and it is a very relaxing beach, perfect for sunbathing.

Curacao Restaurants - Curacao and its cultural diversity offers a wide range of tasty restaurants. In Curacao, every restaurant makes you feel at home. Most of the Island restaurants add a service charge of 10% plus 5% state sales tax. Add a bit if you are satisfied with the service, it's a nice gesture. Curacao restaurants offer a wide range of dining and you can find anything from haute cuisine, to fast food. There are Asian restaurants, Italian restaurants, beach bar food, grills and steakhouses. There are restaurants which are perfect for families and those which are perfect for that candle lit dinner for two with the opportunity to see the sun set over the beautiful ocean.

 

 

Curacao Shopping - The shopping in Curacao is great for designer clothes, international goods, local crafts and food. The shopping is best in Willemstad with two areas to shop in, Otrobanda and Punda. There is also a floating market selling local foods. There are plenty of places to have a nice cold drink and refreshments after a day of hard shopping.

 

 

 

 

Curacao History - Curacao has a rich diverse history and it is possible to learn about anything from the Dutch architecture, very present on the island to the Sugar Plantations and even pirates on the island. The best way to do this is to take part in any of the guided tours available on the island. You will not regret a trip to the most historic parts of the island of Curacao.


There are plenty of other activities on the island to take part in, including the very popular scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, jet skiing and many water sports, also golf courses for the golfing enthusiasts.
