- Klein Beach - Can only be accessed by taking a mermaid boat trip as it is a small remote uninhabited island away from all the busy hustle and bustle of the main island, perfect for those romantic getaways.

Curacao, once a Dutch colony, is clear in much of the architecture you will see, especially in the capital Willemstad. Some of the buildings the Dutch built were called Landhuis and these served as the main house on the many sugar plantations existing there. If you are interested in the history of the island then the capital of Willemstad is a perfect place to start, why not learn a little more about the sugar plantation history or the slave trade on the island. There are plenty of options for keeping occupied as well as all over the island.
When on Curacao and looking for great shopping, you won't be disappointed as it's said there is world class shopping on the island where you can buy anything from clothing to jewelery and souvenirs.. There are great little shops and boutiques to suit all types of tastes, whether you are interested in designer goods or local goods, there is something for everyone. - Punda - This is the main commercial area of Curacao and has many shops selling anything from clothing and jewelery to souvenirs, many little shops also sell electronics, souvenirs and cheaper clothing.
- Otrobanda - A very picturesque place to shop. The main street for shopping, Breedstreet, is where you find many different shops and also the famous floating market.
Curacao has a very rich and diverse culture today which is a mixture of the original Dutch feel with the modern Caribbean twist.
