 Travel to Curacao is quite easy with its modern international airport, called Hato, servicing a number of airlines. The run way is the longest in the Caribbean at 3,410 meters long and 60 meters in width. There are two main docking areas for boats on Curacao, the larger boats can arrive into Mega Pier and the smaller ones are to arrive at the harbor. Both the docking points are located near to the main shopping and business districts. The ports on Curacao are all natural seaports which are safe and secure and offer safe, efficient and reliable handling of ships and cargo. The main Cruise lines serving Curacao are -

There are several options to get around with Curacao rental cars being the most popular choice and plenty of car rental agencies available on the island. In fact if you are thinking about buying Real Estate in Curacao, hiring a car is the best method so you can visit all of the areas on your list. To make the process easier, there are often desks located at hotels and other central points. Rates for car hire can be anything between $40 to $60 per day. Curacao
Public transport on the island of Curacao is fairly limited, although it is possible to go sightseeing by bus. There are 2 types of public Transportation buses, large yellow or blue buses or by limo. The major bus terminals are situated outside of the post office at the Waaigat in Punda and next to the underpass in Otrobanda. The buses cover 12 routes from Punda and 9 routes from Otrobanda covering large areas often visiting beaches, shopping areas and parks. If you fancy traveling around the island in style, there are limo services which will transport you around the island. This service is available for any occasion and they hold 20 people, have 2 bars and a flat screen TV.
Curacao travel, although limited, can be an experience which will allow you to see the true island ways. Transportation by either bus or Curacao rental car will allow you the time to visit the small areas of the island as well as the big cities. So if either looking to live in Curacao or vacation on the island, knowing to get from point A to B is important to know. |
